Location

Windermere is a sought-after residential district located in the north end of London, Ontario. It is an ideal place to live as it provides some seclusion in an area with built up forestation and nature. Get gas at Petro Canada or Shell and head to the movies at Silvercity Cineplex Cinemas. The family is covered for nights out at restaurants such as The Keg Steakhouse & Bar, Jack Astors Bar & Grill and Beertown Public House. Enjoy dates or family night at the Rec Room playing at the arcade, trying out axe throwing, or enjoying a game of virtual reality. 

On top of that amazing amenity, there a few other shopping plaza that are close by. The first is at Wonderland and Gainsborough. This plaza has Bernie’s, LCBO, Beer Store, Food Basics, a gas station, banks, Canada Post, GoodWill, Dollarama, GoodLife, and a London Public Library. The next plaza is at Wonderland and Fanshawe Park Road. Here, residents can find Shoppers Drug Mart, No Frills, Starbucks, Panago Pizza, Mastermind Toys, a gas station, RBC, and Ben Thanh. 

Students will also love that this neighborhood is just minutes from campus, which means that they’re only minutes away from the events, games, and dining options that students enjoy. 

Windermere borders directly on to the Medway Valley Heritage Forest. This is an environmentally significant area, meaning its natural state is preserved, thus reflecting its original ecosystem. This area offers scenic trails, creeks and views for residents of the neighbourhood and surrounding area. It is a great place to go for a run or get lost exploring during the hot summer afternoons. Kids and adults alike can take advantage of having such a serene and scenic space in their backyard!
