Upper Richmond Village is a new residential area in the north end of London, Ontario. The boundaries go from Richmond Street to the Thames River and from Sunningdale up to Croydon Drive. Neighborhood

Because this neighborhood is in the far North end of London, there are not as many schools around, but there are a few different options out there, both Public and Catholic. Another thing to think about with this neighborhood is the fact that none of the schools are within walking distance, so kids will be bused or driven.

Location is everything for residents of this neighbourhood. North London is quickly becoming one of the busiest areas in the Forest City. It is home to the largest commercial district, Masonville, and is expanding with new developments currently underway (as of February 2018). The benefit of Upper Richmond Village is that it is tucked away from the hustle and bustle of Masonville, yet only a four-minute drive away. At Masonville, residents can enjoy shopping, dining and entertainment in the direct vicinity of their home. For home essentials there is Loblaws, LCBO, The Beer Store, Best Buy, Dollarama, Bulk Barn, Farm Boy, JYSK, Staples, PetSmart, banks, gas stations, and Canada Post. For shopping and fun there is Winners, Michaels, GoodLife Fitness, London Public Library, Sport Chek, Lululemon, and more. For delicious places to eat there is East Side Mario’s, Swiss Chalet, Starbucks, Tim Hortons, Beertown Public House, Pizza Hut, Jack Astor’s Bar & Grill, Five Guys, The Keg, McDonald’s and many, many more are located in this area! On top of that, inside the mall there is plenty more shopping and dining options. There is also great entertainment there with Silvery City and The Rec Room.
The Stoney Creek YMCA is another nearby amenity. YMCA is such a great place for families to stay healthy and active while also having fun.
There is another nearby shopping centre at Fanshawe Park Road and Wonderland Road. Here residents can find No Frills, Shoppers Drug Mart, Forest of Flowers, banks, a gas station, Mastermind Toys, and spas. There are also a few places to eat here, such as Ben Thanh, Starbucks, Subway, Panago Pizza, and Early Riser Cafe.
For green space, Pebble Creek Park is situated in the middle of this neighborhood and has great walking trails through beautiful wooded surroundings. Weldon Park is also close by and has a large expanse of green space, picnic tables, and even a sheltered pavillion.
Golfers will love the fact that this neighborhood is situated right next to Sunningdale Golf & Country Club and that Llyndinshire Golf & Country Club is also close by.
While Upper Richmond Village might be in the far north end of London, it’s still close to so many great amenities that residents will get the benefits of city living, while having the tranquility and beauty of living outside of a city.
