Amenities

Being a small town, amenities in the area are not abundant; however, some necessities are at residents disposal. King St. is home to locally owned stores such as the Food Market which sells all basic groceries and contains an LCBO and The Beer StoreAce Hardware, a “mom and pop shop” sells all the essential tools needed for handiwork around the house. For food, residents like to frequent Sassy’s which offers take-out pub style options, ice cream and slushies. Extensive grocery shopping is commonly done in London at Real Canadian Superstore and Loblaws. There are no hockey arenas or soccer fields located in Thorndale. Because of this, parents usually enrol their children in sports in Dorchester. Grocery shopping can be done at the local Foodland there across from the arena.
