Location
Sunningdale is a sought-after residential neighbourhood in the top northwest end of London, Ontario. It is situated between Richmond Street North and Wonderland Street north and begins at Fanshawe Park Road West and up to Sunningdale Road. Although Sunningdale is located at the edge of the city (about fifteen minutes from Downtown), it is a revered area to live with access to numerous amenities. The neighbourhood itself is new, with initial developments beginning as recently as 2000. Perhaps the most revered amenity located in the neighbourhood is Sunningdale Golf & Country Club. This is a private, members-only club for golfers and those who love to be social. Equipped with not one, but two championship eighteen-hole courses, it comes as no surprise that the club is esteemed among Londoners. The venue also hosts functions such as weddings and large corporate parties.
Sunningdale neighbourhood boasts plenty of greens and nature trails. Plane Tree Park is located in the heart of the neighbourhood and has an extensive green space with soccer fields, swing sets and play structures. Residents can also head to the nature trails surrounding Medway Creek at Medway Valley Heritage Forest. This is the perfect destination to take a dog for a walk or go for a run surrounded by scenic views and forestry.
