Location
Pottersburg is located in the Southeast area of london. It’s technically part of the Argyle neighborhood and Argyle Mall actually falls within its boundaries. The borders of this neighborhood runs up to Dundas Street and down to Trafalgar Street. It encompases Kiwanis Park and goes up to Clarke Road and Wavell Street.
Neighborhood
Pottersburg is mostly a residential area with a commercial strip along Dundas street and a commercial plaza at Dundas Street and Clarke Road. This neighborhood is made up of a mix of single family homes, walk-up apartments, townhomes, duplexes, and fourplexes. The homes in this area were mostly built during the 1950s and the earlier 1960s. Most of the houses in this neighborhood are on the smaller side of single family homes, with many being small, rectangular, bungalow style houses that are great for empty nesters, the recently retired, as well as smaller families. The average list price in Pottersburg is in the mid to high $200,000s.
Since Pottersburg is part of the Argyle neighborhood, it falls under the Argyle Community Association. The Argyle Community Association strives to represent the interests of its residents, increase quality of life for those living within the neighborhood, and promote the general wellbeing of its residents.
Schools
St. Pius X Catholic Elementary School, Princess Anne French Immersion Public School, and Prince Charles School, are all located within the neighborhood and are within walking distance for many of the residents, which can be highly desirable for some families. Al-Taqwa Academy is also located within this neighborhood. It’s a private school that has both elementary and secondary schooling and incorporates a desire for challenging academics, daily worship, and Islamic studies.

Amenities
Pottersburg is a highly residential neighborhood that has the benefits of having a mall and multiple amazing parks within its boundaries, as well as having a great commercial strip along Dundas street so that residents do not have to travel far for necessities, home essentials, and shopping.
Kiwanis Park is a large, tree and vegetation filled park on the boundary line of Pottersburg. It has beautiful green space, gorgeous walking trails, baseball diamonds, spray pad, and even a skate park. It’s a great place for families to gather and spend the day enjoying sunshine and the great outdoors. East Lions Park is also located within Pottersburg. Currently it has a soccer field, but there are plans to be redeveloped in 2019. When it’s redeveloped it will include walking paths, a tennis court, a pickleball court, an outdoor community rink and even a basketball court. These renovations will make it a fantastic park for the athletically inclined.
Pottersburg is also going to be having the East Community Centre open within 2019. This community center will have a pool, a gym, a community kitchen, as well as a multi-purpose space and an artisans center.
This neighborhood has the Argyle Arena, which has two ice surfaces. It’s a great place for family skating and is a fun place for hockey.
The Argyle Mall is a great amenity within the neighborhood. It has great shopping, delicious places to eat, and great services: Toys R Us, Staples, Canadian Tire, a hair salon, Walmart Supercenter, EB Games, Winners, Sleep Country, Sport Chek, Carters, Fusion Nail and Spa, Reitmans, bank, LCBO, East Side Marios, Quesada, Burger King, Payless Shoes
The Argyle Medical Clinic is also part of the neighborhood.
The commercial strip along Dundas Street is filled with home essentials, necessities, delicious restaurants, and great places to shop. Some of the places along the Dundas Street strip are Value Village, Shoppers Drug Mart, The Beer Store, Forest City Surplus, Service Ontario, East Village Animal Hospital, banks, Knights Inn London, Dollarama, The Salvation Army Thrift Store, Casa Blanca, Malibu Restaurant, Del-Mar, KFC, Taco Bell, Soni Dentistry, and the Children’s Place Child Care Centre.
