Location
Old Masonville is in the Northwest area of London. It’s directly West of Masonville Mall and is located right above Western University. The border of this neighborhood follows the Thames River and Medway Valley Heritage Forest to the West and South. This large residential neighborhood is located close to a couple of really great commercial districts, making it a convenient area to live in.
Neighborhood
This beautiful neighborhood is mostly residential with a good amount of the neighborhood being taken up by parks and forested area. The majority of the houses in this neighborhood are newer builds. There are two large, beautiful historic buildings: Windermere Manor and Elsie Perrin Williams Estate. Windermere has been converted into a hotel and conference centre and the Elsie Perrin Williams Estate is now a stunning event venue. While most of the homes in the Old Masonville neighborhood are single family homes, there are also some modern townhouse developments mixed in as well. The average list price in this area is in the low end of the $600,000s.
Schools
Western University is located just below this neighborhood. There are a number of Catholic, Public, and French Immersion schools that serve this district, and Masonville Public School is even within walking distance for some of this large neighborhood.

The large, shopping plaza at Richmond and Fanshawe Park Road is filled with home essentials, entertainment, delicious restaurants, and great shopping. In Masonville Mall, SilverCity and Rec Room are great places for date night, family fun, or to hang out with friends. The London Public Library and GoodLife Fitness are also in the shopping plaza.

For delicious restaurants, Beertown Public House, Five Guys, Jack Astor’s, The Keg, Richies, and the food court will keep your tastebuds satisfied.
Old Masonville is also a quick drive to downtown London, making it a great location for business professionals. It’s also close to Western University!
But Old Masonville isn’t just great for conveniences, entertainment and shopping. This neighborhood is also filled with beautiful parks. Helen Mott Shaw Park is a wonderful place for families to spend summer days in the sun playing on the playground, swinging on the swingset or walking the paths through the forest. For those who love being physically active, Ambleside Park is a great place to hang out with its play structure, swings, basketball net with a mini court, pathways for walking and biking, tennis courts, and expansive green space that is perfect for throwing around a ball, playing makeshift soccer and frisbee. Medway Valley Heritage Forest is a beautiful place to hike with its network if hiking trails with scenic views and a trickling creek.
