Location
Oakridge Crossing is a relatively new neighbourhood in the Northwest end of London, Ontario. The neighborhood is in a triangular shape and its boundary lines are Sarnia Road, Wonderland Road, and follows the train tracks. This location is close to many amenities and is a short distance away from the University district. This, coupled with the fact that there are many high rise buildings in this neighborhood, makes for Oakcrossing to be a desirable neighborhood for students in particular.
Neighborhood
Development started in the past couple decades, making housing in this area relatively new. Oak Crossing has a wide variety of housing, including high-rise apartment buildings, townhouses, condos, and single detached homes. Many of the single detached homes are on the larger side with two car garages and three plus bedrooms. Because of the wide variety of housing types and sizes the price range for homes in this neighborhood has a large range, making this a great option for so many different budgets.
Schools
There are a large number of schools that service this district. While none of the schools fall within the boundaries of this neighborhood, a few of them are still close by. On top of the Catholic, Public, and French Immersion elementary and secondary schools for this neighborhood, it’s close by to the University district, making it an ideal location for Western students.

This area of the city is becoming more central as London continues to expand. Oakridge Crossing is an especially great neighborhood because it’s surrounded by plenty of essential amenities. The first great shopping area is at Wonderland and Oxford and continues all the way up to Wonderland and Sarnia. In this area, residents will be able to find all of their essentials and necessities at Costco, Sobeys Extra, Farmboy, Rexal, RONA, Angelo’s Bakery, a medical clinic, LCBO, gas stations, banks, Food Island Supermarket, and convenience store. For entertainment and fitness, Movati Athletics, Fit4Less, Hobby and Toy Central, Fleetway, and Forest Glen Golf Centre are all in this area as well. Foodies will rejoice and the large selection of great eats in this area, including 168 Sushi Asian Buffet Bar, McDonald’s, Pizza Projekt, Dairy Queen, Kimchi House, State and Main, Ozen Korea, Heart Sushi, Chinese Noodle, Hero Certified Burgers, Chatime, Wimpy’s Diner, Booster Juice, Sunset Grill, Pita Pit, Burrito Boyz, Swiss Chalet, Tasty House, and Firehouse Subs.
Another closeby shopping area is at Oxford Street and Hyde Park Road. It also has everything one might want or need, including banks, gas stations, walkin clinics, Beer Store, Popeyes, A&W, Real Canadian Superstore, Shoppers Drug Mart, Remark, Pizza Pizza, Gozen, Canada Post, Fit4Less, and health food store.
There are a number of great parks that are nearby for Oakridge Crossing. Residents can head to Sunrise, Whetherfield and Capulet Parks for accessible basketball courts, play structures, swing sets, paved paths and adult exercise stations. There are also nature trails throughout Beaverbrook, perfect for taking the dog for a walk or jogging in the warmer months.
This location is also great for golfing addicts as Forest Glen Golf Club, London Hunt & Country Club, and RiverBend Golf Club are all close by to this area.
