North Talbot

Location

North Talbot is part of Central London. It’s located just Northwest of the downtown core. It runs up to Oxford Street and down to Dufferin Avenue. It follows the curve of the Thames River and goes all the way over to Richmond Street. This area is of particular interest to University students, as it is a short commute to the University, is close to multiple bus routes, and is part of Richmond Row, which is great for nightlife.

Neighborhood

North Talbot is a great location for university students as it’s close to multiple bus routes, has quick and easy access to the University of Western Ontario and its affiliated University Colleges, has a lot of renting options, and is close to the incredible nightlife on Richmond Row. There is a large mix of housing in this neighborhood, including high rise apartments, three story walk ups, single family homes, row housing, and multi family homes. The single family homes are beautiful Victorian houses, most of which are large, gorgeously made out of brick and have large front porches. Many of those houses have been converted for student renting or have been turned into businesses.

While a large of part of this neighborhood is residential, there are a lot of businesses and shopping along Oxford Street and Richmond Street. It also has access to a great park and the Thames River.

North Talbot also has the North Talbot Community Association, which looks out for the best interests of its residents and the neighborhood.

Because this neighborhood has many students, it quiets down quite a bit during the summer months when many students return back home while school is not in session.

Schools

Although there are no schools that fall directly within the North Talbot neighborhood, there are a number of different schools that reach the district of this neighborhood.
