Location
Nelson Park is a smaller neighborhood located in the Southeast part of London. It’s technically situated within the Argyle neighborhood, but has its own borderlines. The boundaries of Nelson Park start up at Dundas Street and run all the way down to Trafalgar Street, it then goes from Clarke Road to Veterans Memorial Parkway. It’s good to note that it’s actually not a straight square, so the boundary line on the West side cuts from Clarke road and follows the curve of Wavell Street.
Neighborhood
Nelson Park has a wide range of types of homes situated within this neighborhood. While the majority of the houses are made up of single detached homes, there are also duplexes, townhomes, three story walk up apartments, and there is even a mobile home park. Bonaventure Place Housing Co-Operative is also located within this neighborhood. Many of the single family homes are smaller bungalow-styled. The homes range from being built in the 80s and 90s. The average list price Nelson Park is in the mid to high 200,000s.
Because this neighborhood is located in the Argyle neighborhood it also falls under the Argyle Community Association. The association looks to represent the common good and well being of the residents.
Schools
Lord Nelson Public School, Bonaventure Meadows Public School, and St. Robert Catholic Elementary School are located in the neighborhood and are within walking distance for many of the families. There are multiple schools that fall within this district.

While Nelson park is a highly residential neighborhood with schools and some green space within the borders, Dundas Street and Clarke Road have necessities and shopping and Trafalgar Street and veterans Memorial Parkway are both homes to multiple businesses. This means that there are lots of amenities close by, making Nelson Park a convenient neighborhood to live in.
Argyle Mall is right next to this neighborhood. This means that there are within walking distance to many of Nelson Park is Walmart Supercenter, LCBO, Canadian Tire, Staples, Winners, Sport Chek, Reitmans, and EB Games.
There is also another shopping center at Trafalgar and Clarke Road. It has a Shoppers Drug Mart, Metro, The Beer Store, Canada Post, and more.
Residents of Nelson Park can also enjoy the convenience of a Medical Clinic, banks, Dollarama, The Salvation Army Thrift Store, gas stations, Home Depot, Service Ontario, Bulk Barn, convenience stores, and a London Public Library all close by.
As for places to grab some delicious eats, this neighborhood is home to East Side Marios, A&W, Quesada, Pizza Hut, The Hot Dog Guy, Dairy Queen, McDonalds, Lynn’s Bakery & Deli, Naples Pizza, Ring-a-Wing, and even Little Caesars Pizza.
For living healthy active lifestyles, Argyle Arena is located within this neighborhood and is a great place for family fun. There are also a number of great parks within the Nelson Park neighborhood that are a fun place for families to enjoy the great outdoors. Admiral Park has paved walking paths, green space, and a baseball diamond. Nelson Park has a walking path, baseball diamond, swing set, green space, and playground. Bonaventure Meadows Park is a large park with lots of open green space and a spray pad.
The Forest Lawn Funeral Home and Cemetery is also located within this neighborhood, and gives lots of green within the neighborhood.
Bowlerama Royale is close to this neighborhood and is a great place for family fun! Forked River Brewing Company is close by to this neighborhood and is an incredible, local brewery and a fun place to hang out and have some delicious beers.
