Location
Midtown is a neighborhood that is located in Central London. It’s situated between the downtown core and Old East Village. The borders of this neighborhood go from Queens Ave to the train tracks below York Street and from Colborne to Adelaide street. The location is fantastic for anyone who works downtown and wants a shorter commute.
Neighborhood
This small neighborhood is made up of a mix of commercial and residential blended together. The majority of the homes are actually three story walk ups or high rise apartment buildings. There are also some 19th and early 20th century homes throughout this neighborhood. Because the homes are on the larger side, a number of them have been converted into duplexes. On top of that, some of those old homes have actually been converted into businesses. Midtown might not be a suburban neighborhood with backyards and a typical neighborhood feel, but it’s a lively neighborhood with incredible amenities all around. The London Police Service Headquarters is also located within this neighborhood.

There are a couple of schools that are within walking distance in this neighborhood: HB Beal Secondary School right in the middle of this neighborhood and Catholic Central High School also located in this neighborhood. There are also other options for schools that fall within this district, including Catholic, Public and French Immersion schools.

Midtown is an incredible neighborhood for people who love to be in the heart of the action. There are so many options for entertainment, unique food experiences, and fun shopping.
The Western Fair District is close to the Midtown neighborhood. If you’re looking for incredible fun, then you’ll want to check out the Western Fair and its endless entertainment. Part of that entertainment is at Gateway Casinos, which is a great place to spend an evening having drinks, seeing if Lady Luck is on your side, eating delicious food, and playing all of the games that your heart desires. The Raceway is also part of the Western Fair District and is a place where you can watch live horse races and enjoy the thrill of the show. For those who love artisan goods, seasonal goods, farm-fresh foods, and unique gifts, every Saturday there is an incredible Farmer’s Market at the Western Fair District. From the Beer and Barbecue Show, the Food and Wine Show, The Lifestyle Home Show, and so much more, there are a number of great shows and events that happen at The Western Fair District throughout the year. The Western Fair District is also home to Yuk Yuk’s Comedy Club. Yuk Yuk’s is a great place to spend an evening with friends, enjoying comedy shows, drinks, and fun times. Of course there is also The Western Fair, which happens every fall at the Western Fair District. There are games, shows, rides, delicious foods, and so much more at The Western Fair.
The Aeolian Hall Performing Arts Centre is an incredible concert hall and music school close by to Midtown. The building is an absolutely stunning old Victorian brick building. The London Public Library Central Branch is also close by.
In terms of nearby entertainment, London Music Hall hosts incredible concerts throughout the year, The London Convention Centre hosts incredible events and festivals, such as London Comic Con. Citi Plaza mall has a food court, shopping, and even a movie theatre. The Grand Theatre is the place to watch plays in London. Budweiser Gardens hosts concerts, events, and London Knights games throughout the year. There is also an incredible nightlife all close by: daning, clubs, bars, karaoke nights, comedy nights, bar bingo nights, and pubs with billiards and darts.
For nearby fitness, The Boys and Girls Club is a recreational facility for kids and youths. GoodLife Fitness London is located within Citi Plaza and is a fully stocked facility. Just Sweat is a personal training and fitness studio. Adrenaline Training is actually located within Midtown and is a training centre for professional Mixed Martial arts and athletic facility. The Centre Branch YMCA has pools, a gym, aerobics studios, squash courts, fitness area with weights and cardio, whirlpool, saunas, steam rooms, drop-in programs, fitness classes, and a childminding area.
