Location
Longwoods is located in the far South of London. It starts at Wharncliffe and Southdale Road East and goes all the way down to Highway 401. The residential area is up closer to Southdale while the rest of the area is filled with farmland and a bustling commercial district.
Neighborhood
The Longwoods neighborhood has a couple of residential pockets on the north end by Southdale Road. The rest of this sizable neighborhood is made up of lots of farmland, forested areas, and a commercial complex that runs along Exeter Road and White Oaks Road. The residential area is mostly made up of newer builds of single detached homes, although there are a few older home builds that are located along White Oak Road. There is also a new and modern styled townhouse complex in this neighborhood. While there are a few smaller homes, most of the homes are 2+ bathrooms and 3+ bedrooms. The Average list price of homes in this neighborhood are in the mid to high $400,000s. This charming neighborhood has streets that were named after Canadian artists.

Because this neighborhood is on the far south of London, it has easy and quick access to both the 401 and the 402, which makes this neighborhood a great location for people who commute often. White there isn’t much shopping or restaurants within the neighborhood, it’s situated close enough to other areas of the city that convenience is just a short drive or bus ride away. It’s super close to the shopping district at Wonderland Road South and Southdale Road West. That shopping center gives you home essentials at Loblaws, HomeSense, Bed Bath & Beyond, JYSK, LCBO, and The Home Depot. It also gives you shopping fun at Urban Barn, Winners, Sport Chek, Mastermind Toys, and Babies R Us. For eating out, this plaza has Wok Box, Swiss Chalet, Boston Pizza, Buffalo Wild Wings, and Marble Slab Creamery.
There is lots of fun entertainment close by to Longwoods, including Adventures on Wonderland, Earl Nichols Arena, the YMCA, and a movie theater. For nearby parks, Cheswick Park has a mini soccer field,a play structure, and a swing set. Jesse Davidson Park is also close by and has baseball diamonds, soccer fields, a splash pad and a playground.
For local eats that you won’t find anywhere else, this neighbourhood has a few to pick from, such as Abe’s on Exeter and New Wave Ice Cream. Close by there is also Tiger Jack’s, Sicily’s Pizza and Sub, and Angel’s Diner.
