Cleardale is a small and friendly-family neighborhood in the South end of London. It’s located between Wharncliffe and Nixon Ave, right up to Southdale Road East and Ferndale Ave. While the neighborhood itself is mostly residential, it’s right close by to incredible woods, parks, and the Westminster ponds, which means that you’re never far from a peaceful escape into nature. This neighborhood has quick and easy access to the 401 and 402, and is close to multiple commercial and shopping districts. This well established neighborhood is close to multiple conveniences that any family would want nearby.

Cleardale is mostly composed of single detached homes, with some duplexes, condo complexes, and apartment buildings scattered throughout the neighborhood as well. The homes in this area were mostly built in the 1980s. The size, location, and age of these homes make it an affordable place to live with the average list price in Cleardale being in the mid to low $500,000s. There are multiple commercial strips close to Cleardale, mostly down Wharncliffe, Wellington, and Southdale. Because of this, it has a better walking score than most areas of London. Places that have high walking scores mean that you can get the majority of your errands done without needing a car. People who live in high walking score areas have a better chance of living healthier and more active lifestyles.

Cleardale is an incredible area for families. It’s within walking distance to fun recreational activities, such as Mitches park that has a play structure, swings, a soccer field, and beautiful walking paths, and Earl Nichols Recreation Centre where families can enjoy ice skating together. I’d also a short distance from other recreational fun, such as Landmark Cinemas 8 London, Sky Zone London (which is an indoor trampoline park) Westminster Ponds, and the stunning walking and biking paths of the Highland Woods. Oh, and some parents will love the fact that it’s so close to the Highland Country Club. It’s also close to many necessities and home essentials, such as Shoppers Drug Mart, Rexall Pharma Plus, Walmart, grocery stores, home essential stores, Chapters, Giant Tiger, Plato’s Closet, Staples, Canada Computers, White Oaks Mall, and so much more. As for places to eat, Cleardale is full of incredible options close by. Some are within walking distance, and others are just a very short drive away. For local eats, you’ve got Tiger Jacks Bar and Grill, Mustang Sally’s, and Angel’s Diner.
