Argyle Park

Location

Welcome to Argyle Park, the neighbourhood that is thriving with residential, social and cultural diversity! It is located in the southeast corner of London, Ontario and spans over a reasonably large area – home to about 30,000 residents. The core of this community is at the intersection of Clarke Road and Trafalgar Street. Boundaries surrounding this neighbourhood are at Oxford Street (north), Hamilton Road (south), Veterans Memorial Parkway (east) and Highbury Avenue (west). While still being connected to the city at large, the proximity of the neighbourhood to the highway provides quick access in and out. Since Argyle Park spans over a significant area, there is a ton of potential for growth. There are ongoing investments in industrial, retail and commercial ventures in all areas of the neighbourhood. Because of this, buyers will notice that homes within the district are only a short drive to essential amenities. Schools, grocery store, shopping and entertainment are easily accessible. Since this area is a growing business hub, there are job opportunities available for residents. The sense of community is an important characteristic of this neighbourhood. Argyle Park is home to its very own annual Christmas parade and Canada Day fireworks! This brings the residents together to create memories that will last a lifetime.

Neighborhood

Argyle Park attracts entry-level buyers due to the relatively low prices compared to other parts of London. The neighbourhoods within are fully developed with small ranches and bungalows and larger lot sizes. From apartments to large family homes – Argyle Park provides a wide selection of homes for a diverse range of homebuyers. There are newer areas in both the south and east ends of the district that were built fifteen to twenty years ago. Many of the houses have been maintained well with several updates, renovations and refreshed landscaping by current owners. Homebuyers looking for affordable pricing and diverse community, look no more! Compared to the newer neighbourhoods of today, Argyle Park features larger lots with much more affordable pricing. In addition to this, the architecture of the homes is unique to each property rather than the “cookie cutter” style of newer neighbourhoods. Thanks to the lack of high-rise buildings in the area, congestion is minimal, and privacy in homes and backyards is kept. Conveniently located close to several parks, there are many opportunities for recreational adventures within the area. Head to East Lions Park, Mildred Barrons Park or Admiral Park for a stroll with the dog, or playtime with the family. Kiwanis Park features many walking trails, a splash pad, sports field, playground, two minor baseball diamonds and even a skateboard park! The future of Argyle Park is promising with The East Community Centre set to open its doors in 2019! It will feature an artisan’s market, community centre, indoor pool and gym. The sense of community will strengthen with a centre for people with all backgrounds.

Schools

Because of its large vicinity, Argyle Park is home to multiple elementary schools, both Catholic and public.
