Online Challenges
When the lockdown for January was announced, Evolation Yoga had to adjust. Not wanting anyone to start 2021 without the opportunity to stay fit in body, mind, and soul through Yoga, they created the following online challenges. You can be challenged with daily yoga challenges all from the comfort of your own home.
Five Elements of Living – This challenge is great for beginners! There is no equipment needed and is a 4-week challenge. This online challenge has each day containing 5 elements of living. It focuses on breathing, movement, and having focused intent. The five elements of your life are how you move, how you breathe, what and how you eat, how you live authentically, and who you surround yourself with. These five elements affect the vitality in all aspects of your life: emotionally, physically, mentally, and spiritually.
Inferno Hot Pilates – This challenge is an intermediate level. It requires zero equipment and is a 4-week challenge. Every day you’ll be brought a unique Pilate workout.
Evolation 26+2 – This challenge doesn’t require any equipment and is an Intermediate level. This online, 4-week challenge will bring you a session every day that involves doing the same 26 poses and 2 breathing exercises in cycles over an hour-long class. With this challenge, you’ll also get a daily pose to focus on where you’ll get a description and meaning behind that pose.

Classes
Evolation Yoga’s studio is set at precise temperatures so that your class workout is incredibly effective, and so that you can achieve the mindset and body flexibility that you need for each class. The rooms are set at 40 percent humidity, which helps to boost your metabolism and promotes fat burn. The heat causes your arteries to dilate, which helps to get the blood flowing through your body. By making Hot Yoga a regular part of your life you’ll find that your resting heart rate will decrease, and your body develops stronger athletic stamina.
Evolation Yoga offers a variety of classes with different styles of Yoga and different temperature levels so that you’re sure to find something that is the perfect fit for your own physical, mental, and spiritual journey.
Each class is run by one of Evolution’s incredible instructors. Their classes are safe spaces for healing, strength, and meditation. Make sure to come to each class well hydrated and bring your own mats and water bottles.
(Note: the temperature of rooms and humidity levels only pertain to in-studio classes. Any virtual classes held in Evolation’s Zoom Room do not have specific temperatures or humidity levels)
Deep Stretch YIN – 85 degrees
Looking for peace and solitude? Would your body benefit from really deep stretching? Try out this class. Yin focuses on patience, kindness and surrender. It’s a quiet and peaceful form of Yoga. The poses target areas of the body where there is connective tissue to open you up and give you a deeper stretch. This class is great for all students and is a good complement to more active exercises. Deep Stretch YIN is done in a temperature-controlled room of a generously warm 85 degrees Fahrenheit.
Warm Vinyasa Flow – 90 degrees
This class sits at a hot 90 degrees Fahrenheit. This Vinyasa Yoga is all about core, balance, strength as well as flexibility. Breath and fluid flow of movement is an important part of this class. The hot room relaxes your muscles, giving you the ability to move through the ranges of motion with ease. Stretch and strengthen your muscles as you find power and flexibility through this Yoga. The flow at this temperature is great for circulation and your metabolism. It also helps to strengthen your cardiovascular system and helps your body expel toxins. Make sure to come to the class well hydrated.
Hot 26&2 – 104 degrees Fahrenheit
This intense workout is done at a very hot 104 degrees Fahrenheit. Because of the temperature, your heart rate is increased, and it encourages more fat burning in your body. It is said to burn up to 1000 in a single class. The class is highly recommended for those who are seeking weight loss, are seeking recovery for back and joint pain, or who suffer from insomnia. Students often see and feel the results of this class quickly. Make sure to come fully hydrated.
Average Joe-ga – Men Only
This men-only class is for any average Joe. This relaxed atmosphere is welcoming for any men looking to add more healthy practices into their lives but might be intimidated by a regular yoga class. No matter what level of flexibility or fitness you’re at, Average Joe-ga is for you!
Intermediate to Iyengar
This class is an introduction to Iyengar Yoga. Iyengar Yoga often uses props that help students access each pose. In this class, there are plenty of modifications provided for those who have physical limitations or conditions. The poses in Iyengar are often held longer than other Yoga’s as a way to encourage meditation throughout the process. Even if you practice other types of Yoga, this class is sure to give you new insight into asana and provide you with an enriching experience. This class includes standing poses, extensions, seated postures, twists, and even inversions.
Warm Hatha – 90 degrees
Hatha is often thought of as a “classic” Yoga practice. This class is set at 90 degrees Fahrenheit to warm your muscles and open your body to the poses, helping you with strengthening and flexibility. It’s suitable for all levels from first timers to regulars. This class has a balance of postures and breathing, which makes it great for calming anxieties and tensions. Warm Hatha has both mental and physical benefits and is great for those who enjoy meditation or need mental focus.
Hatha – 85 degrees
This class is similar to the one above, except that the class is done at a very warm 85 degrees Fahrenheit. It’s a great way to get into the practice of Hatha before transitioning to the Warm Hatha. Perfect for all levels of ability, it’s a perfect complement for mind and body exercise and is the classic practice of Yoga.
Qigong – 80 degrees
In China Qigong is practiced for recreation and exercise, but is also done for preventative medicine, alternative medicine, self-healing, meditation, and relaxation. It’s also often used as part of martial arts training. Qigong is all about deep breathing in rhythmic patterns and slow-flowing movements. When the two are combined it helps to create a calm, meditative state of mind. It’s often known as moving meditation. This class is set at 80 degrees Fahrenheit, making it warm and comfortable for your muscles and body.
Inferno HOT Pilates – 95 degrees
Evolation Yoga is the only yoga studio in London that offers hot Pilates. This class is meant to be a full-body and intense workout, designed to strengthen muscles, increase flexibility, and improve overall health. It combines the Pilates principals with high-intensity interval training performed in a room that is 95 degrees Fahrenheit and 40 percent humidity. What this does for your body is incredible. High-intensity interval training keeps your heart rate up to burn fat. The Pilates principles sculpt your body for long and lean muscle mass. The temperature of the room loosens up the muscles to allow for deeper stretches. The humidity makes you sweat, boosts metabolism, and promotes more fat burn. This class works and provides you with quick and measurable results.

Benefits of Yoga
If you’ve never tried Yoga before, then you need to hear these benefits. Yoga decreases the release of cortisol, which is the primary stress hormone in your body. Those who practice Yoga regularly will experience notably lower levels of stress. If you’re someone who suffers from anxiety, Yoga can help to reduce your anxiety levels. It improves your flexibility and balance. It helps you to create long lean muscle mass. It has been shown to promote better and more restful sleep. Because it helps to promote blood flow throughout your body it’s great for heart health. Studies have shown it to reduce inflammation as well as reducing chronic pain.
Another big part of Yoga is being present at the moment and practicing meditation. This means that Yoga is not just for your physical health, but for your mental and emotional health as well. Many also find that practicing mindfulness and meditation has positive impacts on their spiritual life or for their life’s energy.
