In February of 2019, Quintin Warner House, which is a live-in treatment branch of Missions Services for men who are seeking sobriety, had cut-backs. They had to get rid of having on-site councillors on evenings and weekends. It’s the 24/7 support that is absolutely critical for men battling against addiction. Triggers don’t just happen during weekday work hours and without the on-site counsellors, men are at a much higher risk of relapse.
With this donation, the Quintin Warner House will have an entire year’s worth of after-hours counselling and services for men who are struggling to break free from their addictions. “Battling addiction is one of the most difficult experiences anyone can face. Our donation is
grounded in the belief that persons struggling with addiction should have access to effective long-term treatment options, not just temporary services,” said Allan Drewlo.
